Late July. One of Guatemala’s most authentic cultural gatherings. Indigenous groups from every region perform ancestral dances and music. Watch the Queen pageant honoring Maya values and tradition. Our Cobán route combines dramatic cloud-forest roads with deep cultural immersion. Over five days and four nights, you’ll ride a thrilling mix of smooth pavement, historic cobblestones, and rewarding gravel as we wind northward from Antigua into the lush Maya Biosphere. Along the way, we’ll stop in the charming towns of Cobán — famous for its world-class coffee farms — Lanquín, Río Dulce, and Flores. You’ll soak in vibrant local culture, sample the region’s best cuisine, and enjoy jaw-dropping landscapes at every turn.
Wildlife encounters are part of the magic — keep your eyes open for jaguars, howler monkeys, toucans, and coatis putting on unforgettable shows in their natural habitat.
The journey begins and ends in beautiful Antigua, closing with a well-earned evening of relaxation, camaraderie, and a final dinner at one of the city’s finest restaurants.
